The Planetary Group & China
West Present: Tour China
2007: Midi Festival and PRC/Universal Records Demo Deal.
The Planetary Group & China West have presented shows
and tours in China for the past seven years, and they are
now offering the next opportunity for artists to perform
in the region at the Midi Festival, in Beijing, China. One
artist will be selected to perform at the festival on one
of the days - and the act will be selected by Midi Festival
staff. There may also be other opportunities to perform club
shows outside of the festival.
The Midi Festival, the biggest regular
rock gathering in China, has, in its brief history, grown
to become THE festival in China, attracting
upwards of 15,000 fans from across the country to take in
four days of music. Bands are drawn from across China. This is your chance to
join them – as one of the featured foreign bands invited
to perform. Last year, the Festival hosted four stages (Main
Stage, Experimental Stage, Guitar China Stage, Dance tent).
The festival's website is www.midifestival.com.
The 2007 Midi Festival will take place in Haidian Park,
Beijing, China, May 1-4 2007.
This year there will be two winners. One winner will receive
the all
expense trip & one thousand retail ready compact discs
from our sponsor, Cravedog. The other winner will receive
a recording demo deal from PRC/Universal
Records.
This event is exclusive to Sonicbids members, but is open
to all genres and to artist's from anywhere in the world.
Planetary takes care of all logistics: visas, airfare, ground
transportation, equipment rentals, permits, food and housing.
The winning artist will also have time to take in the local
sights: Tiananmen Square, The Great Wall, etc - all expenses
paid.
