SXSW Recap

Well, another SXSW is behind us and as usual, I'm beet and could go a year before I see BBQ again. As usual, saw some great bands, including Elf Power, Cloud Cult, Red Romance, TAT, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, American Princes, Kaki King, Moby, Throw Me The Statue, and a whole bunch more. Unfortunately, I'm pretty new to the idea of owning a camera, so at most shows forgot to take pictures, but below are some photos from highlight shows.

Min Mae from Portland played a great set at the Yarr!/Grey Day party. If Neil Young played Shoegazer. Good stuff. its always nice seeing bands play outside in the middle of the afternoon.

Later that night i caught Kaki King for the first of two shows last week. Her live set always blows me away, and yet another show outside. I love Austin.

The next time that i remembered to pull out my camera was at the Northern Ireland showcase on friday afternoon. There was a bunch of bands that played, but Oppenheimer totally killed it. In this shot, the duo are joined by some friends to play "Saturday Looks Bad To Me"

Wow! There were a lot of people on the street!

Late Saturday night, when my SXSW was almost over, I happened upon this van parked on the street. I wonder if they get pulled over a lot?
