No Love

Mother Nature was giving us a big smooch during the previous snow storm we had in the Northeast. Well, Mother Nature, I give you no love! Skating across sheets of ice and then falling into 2 foots puddles is not my idea of a good time. Maybe you can take me out for a nice seafood dinner next time. Perhaps a sunny day on the beach. Eh, Eh????

Pleasantly Surprised

I thought one of my favorite bands, The Books, had given up on their music career and gone on to other life goals but apparently I was wrong. I was so happy when a friend told me that after a verrrry long hiatus they are back and touring. AND they are coming to the ICA Boston in April. Fantastic music plus visual effects, really what could be better?

Exceptional Tuesday

So, two great things have happened today.

1. Obama is officially our 44th president.

2. Animal Collective's Merriweather Post Pavilion is released (of course all you avid fans waited this long to buy the CD and didn't pirate it).

I know I woke up smiling. And if you didn't catch the inauguration, find someway to check it out and especially watch the last two speakers. Quite humorous.

One thing I think I'd probably skip.

I like skiing. I like jumping off high things. I'm sure I'd like parachuting. Yet somehow this seems insane to me.

wingsuit base jumping.

Hello!

Hi, I'm Chelsea, the new intern here at The Planetary Group. I'm just starting my first co-op (yay Northeastern for giving us 6 months off of classes) and quickly realizing that I have way too much free time without the constant pressures of homework. So, with the new year and a new job I've decided to fill up my time with trying out new things and gaining new hobbies, and will most likely tell you all about them. I'm excited about this new job and my first blog (yay), bear with me if I'm going about this all wrong.

Oh, and if anyone is familiar with the Fenway area then you are probably as deeply saddened as I am about the death of my two favorite restaurants that burned down in a tragic fire. Umi and El Pelon, may my tastebuds always remember your delicious sushi and burritos.
