More Peelander Z!

Peelander Z and Myspace Records. A match made in heaven. Just imagine Myspace putting their massive amount of resources behind the world's most absurd band! If Peelander Z can pull off the shows they do now, imagine what they'll do when they can do anything they can think of! Just that dream is enough for me to vote for them.

To help out, just grab this widget and put it on your myspace, facebook, or where ever else. You can check on their myspace page to see how it's going, or if you hear about a band playing a show while skydiving, you know they won!

Peelander Z

A little late is better than never I suppose so instead of sending a belated birthday card saying "sorry I missed your birthday" I'm writing this blog post saying "sorry I forgot to post those pictures from that Peelander Z show!"

On 05/15, I saw Peelander Z absolutely rip it up here in Boston at the Middle East Upstairs. I had heard all of these great reviews of the band's live show and the audience participation but I didn't quite know how far it went until I witnessed it first hand.

I think my favorite song they did was "So Many Mike" which is about, coincidentally enough, so many people named Mike. I found this really funny.

If these guys stroll through your town, you should go see them, they won't disappoint.

Booo Prop 8

So prop 8 was passed yesterday in California which is a real disappointment. The people that passed it must not have seen this informative musical that has great points about why gay marriage would be so beneficial. Check it out.

Lost: 9 Months Of Waiting

I'm not even really sure where to begin or what to say about the season finale of LOST last night. Strike that, I have ENTIRELY too many thoughts and things to say about the finale that to try and put them into this blog would be scary to anyone who reads it.

If you haven't seen the episode don't read if you don't want any spoilers then don't read this entry, not that I intend to get crazy with the plot here. But here are some of my likes/dislikes of the episode, in case you wanted to know.

Big Disappointment - the death of Juliet. I mean, I guess I knew it was coming since it was rumored she was leaving the show but still! She's become a really good character over the last few years and I was really digging the love story between her and Sawyer and thought they worked well together. I almost cried last night with her fate and I wonder how that pain will play out for Sawyer in the next season.

Big Excitement - Jacob. Finally, we get to see Jacob and get to see him in action. The details are starting to fill in and now I'm starting to have even further expanded theories to who he is, what he's doing there and what is going to happen.

Big Mystery - John Locke's corpse in that box that Ilana was toting around while he walks around the island dictating the others and making Ben feel like a jackass...I mean, I wasn't expecting that at all, and I guess neither did Frank Lapidus.

Even Bigger Mystery
- what happens after the big white flash?

So, now we've got nine months to sit and ponder what this all means and what will happen next. It hasn't even been 24 hours and I've spent entirely too much time theorizing with friends and researching things online. I think I might re-watch some old episodes on DVD with commentary to fill in some gaps but if anyone has any theories they'd like to discuss, feel free to chat me up because we've got a long way before the final season begins!

Deadliest Catch

I don't know there is a TV show I love as much as this one. Well, maybe Lost, but that's about it. When I was on my cruise, I spent the week reading one of the books that were published after the show came out and it was just fantastic. Each season gets better and better, although I don't know if my emotions can handle it after last week's episode where the survivors of the F/V Katmai retell their experience in the Bering Sea.

Anyways, the fleet has a new commercial out for their Mother's Day Marathon and it's really funny so I thought I'd share.
